Mobile notary appointments include three separate charges when applicable: the NC-authorized notarial fee, mileage-based travel reimbursement, and a mobile appointment service fee. The notarial fee is limited by North Carolina law. Travel reimbursement is calculated using the current IRS business mileage rate. The mobile appointment service fee covers scheduling, administrative coordination, appointment readiness, document handling, and time reserved for the appointment. All fees are disclosed before the appointment is confirmed.
